Job Description
Function as an Apprentice Electrician alongside a licensed Journeyman Electrician, learning to install new electrical systems and repair existing ones while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes. Work across both commercial and residential locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying electrical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance alongside Journeymen
- Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials
- Measure, cut, bend, and install wiring and conduit systems
- Assist with control centers, distribution systems, and electrical components
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and communicate effectively
- Support workflow schedules and productivity goals
- Maintain professionalism with team members, customers, and vendors
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements
- Current Apprentice Electrician license
- Ability to learn electrical systems and installation practices
- Understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
- Clean driving record
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and pull 70 lbs
- Work in physically demanding environments
- Climb ladders and operate lifts
- Work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks

Job Description
Lead commercial and residential electrical installations, repairs, and system upgrades while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and Pro Tech Power policies. This role coordinates work in the field, supports apprentice development, and helps keep projects safe, productive, and on schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Test, repair, maintain, modify, and install commercial and residential electrical systems
- Install wiring, cable, conduit, raceways, panels, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches
- Splice and terminate conductors and verify completed systems for safe, code-compliant operation
- Train apprentices, delegate work appropriately, and communicate with foremen and office staff
- Plan material needs, maintain project workflow, and complete required paperwork accurately
- Maintain company tools, vehicle inventory, and a clean, professional job site
- Follow all Pro Tech Power safety policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements
- Current Oregon Journeyman Electrician license applicable to the position
- Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, installation standards, troubleshooting, and testing
- Leadership, pre-planning, communication, and crew coordination skills
- Dependable attendance, attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong safety mindset
- Clean driving record and basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and pull 70 lbs of force
- Ability to squat or kneel while wearing a tool belt and work from ladders, lifts, or reach booms
- Ability to pull conduit and wire and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work safely in heat, cold, rain, and high-noise job-site conditions
